Incidence of Femoroacetabular Impingement after Rotational Acetabular Osteotomy

چکیده

INTRODUCTION: Rotational acetabular osteotomy (RAO) has been recognized as an useful procedure, especially for early stage of osteoarthritis of the hip, with satisfactory intermediate and long-term results. In RAO, it is important to rotate the acetabular roof sufficiently, contributing to improvement of the acetabular roof coverage. On the other hand, femoroacetabular impingement due to acetabular retroversion has recently been reported to be associated with osteosarthrisis of the hip. Such femoroacetabular impingement may possibly be induced after RAO with acetabular retroversion. Purpose of the present study was to confirm the incidence of acetabular retroversion and clinical signs of femoroacetabular impingement after RAO.

Morphology of Acetabulum and Femoral Head-Neck Junction in Hip Dysplasia Which Underwent Rotational Acetabular Osteotomy

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the preoperative radiographs with cases of developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) leading to rotational acetabular osteotomy (RAO) or curved peri-acetabular osteotomy (CPO), and examine the frequency of femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) related bone morphology in the acetabulum and femoral head-neck junction. Twenty-four hips with hip dyaplasia who u...
